P06 → Dissertation
Simply the tip of the iceberg in terms of this topic and this research; my dissertation report was an important project for me to undertake during my time at university. Violence against women is an issue of major significance, and a topic I feel strongly about as a son, brother and member of society.
Researching how powerful graphic design has been to the cause, how it can help shape ideas andconversation around an issue, was really insightful for me.
I would love to expand on this project at some point in the future,further pushing the points I look into in the report, but focusing more on feminist theory and the motivations behind Franki Raffles’ design choices for the campaign.
There is also a future where I create a campaign fighting against the same issues as Zero Tolerance, but designed for the modern day public and the mass global population on all social media platforms.
Although this project is titled as ‘dissertation’, it is technically a research report. We were given the choice to create a more stan-dard lengthy essay, or research report of less words, with the stipulation that it had to be designed fully and include inforgraphics.
The page below is the summative feedback I recieved after marking. I am happy with what was said, and I’m aware that I could definitely improve if I were to re-do this writing or try a new research report project.
